My family had dinner at the Gelston, after watching a theater show next door. Gelston House impressed with an elegant atmosphere, cozy fireplace, demure lighting. The bar area had a cool, classy vibe. Friendly server and staff. Everyone enjoyed their meals, with particularly mention of excellent lamb chops and the Gelston chicken entrees. One person in our family is mobility challenged and uses a scooter, no problem entering the front entrance and was welcomed to scooter to our table. 5 stars all around!

The room where we dined was lovely. The wait staff was very polite and kind when I got confused and they were happy to explain things to me about their specials. I had the seafood chowder and the beet salad. Both were delicious.

We had a wonderful lunch here last week before seeing a Chorus Line at the Goodspeed opera house. We were hoping to eat outside on the beautiful patio however, that day was a particular chilly, windy day so we ate in the pub. Great relaxed atmosphere and great service as well. Food was delicious. Drinks were excellent! A must try before or after a show at the Goodspeed.

I had an outstanding experience at the Gelston House Restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the service was exceptional. Our server was professional, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed. The food was amazing, the drinks were excellent, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The entire restaurant was extremely clean, and the way my friend and I were treated went above and beyond our expectations. Highly recommend this beautiful place for a memorable dining experience.

This is a lovely restaurant next to the Goodspeed Opera House along the Connecticut River. The dining room is a large rectangle with windows around three sides. There are wonderful salads and great entrees and cocktails. Service is always friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. A good place before or after the theatre or if you're in the area visiting one of the local attractions like Gillette Castle.

From start to finish, our experience at this restaurant was absolutely outstanding. Our server Sage was warm, positive, and genuinely friendly—she made us feel right at home. Her recommendations were spot on, and thanks to her guidance we enjoyed some of the best dishes we’ve had in a long time. The crab cakes were delicious and the lamb was equally cooked to perfection. Truly chef’s kiss! The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between high-class elegance and approachable friendliness. The location is excellent, making it easy to get to but still feeling like a hidden gem. A special shoutout to the owner, who went out of her way to make sure our evening was nothing short of wonderful. We will definitely be returning!

First time here at Gelston House and I was absolutely blown away with amazement. The place is absolutely breathtaking! We were sat outside in the patio with nice view of the water. Our waitress Stephanie was an absolute doll. She was kind, attentive, and she made conversations and made us feel very welcomed. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was perfection. Stephanie checked in multiple times to make sure our experience was met and she exceeded! I would definitely recommend this place and I’ll certainly be back! Thank you so much for this wonderful hospitality and experience it truly means a lot to me!
